Septum Resection, now Clomid? I alreay ovulate on my own!

I all, I'm needing some advice from you! After taking progesterone in August (irregular bleeding from April-August because of stopping the pill) my cycle has been like clockwork. Every 28 days I start bleeding. My charts are a little sporadic but there is a clear biphasic pattern to them indicating ovulation (I think). I get EWCM around day 14/15 and positive OPKs since August. I even had a blood test done in December that proved I had ovulated (that specific month at least). My only problem was that I only had a half day period and I just had a gut feeling things weren't completely normal yet. So, I went into a fertility specialist in December after trying for 8 months (but really only for 4 since I wasn't cycling the first 4). I was found to have a uterine septum and my ovaries looked like they might be "PCOSish" (the word the doctor actually used). Before seeing the blood work, she told me that I was not cycling, the ultrasound proved that nothing was really happening. AFTER she saw the blood work, it proved that I DID indeed ovulate a couple days prior (right when I thought I had looking back on charts and notes). I couldn't stand the thought of miscarrying when i could do something to prevent it so I had the septum resected via hysteroscopy Dec 19th, had a balloon in for a few days, took a month of estrogen. At my one month mark things were looking good, no adhesions/scar tissue. I asked to be put on Progesterone so I wasn't in limbo for a month and feeling crappy (like I have before). I started to bleed on my 8th day and am now on day nine of my cycle. My doctor (and husband) want me to try Clomid this next cycle because the septum shouldn't prevent me from getting pregnant, it's just proved to cause miscarriage. I have found some information stating it might disrupt implantation and prevent you from getting pregnant. So, my thought is that maybe that septum WAS my only problem and really I only technically tried for 4 months before getting it repaired. Every time I talk to my doctor she has to update herself on my record and she says "ok, irregular cycles, not ovulating, ok, I'm up to date" None of that is true anymore, why should I take Clomid if I'm already cycling and ovulating normal!! I don't particularly want to pump myself full with something I don't need and waste my money on it too! Especially if I'm going to be high risk with just one baby after my septum repair, is it worth it to risk multiples? What do you guys think? Should I try clomid or maybe I should just try naturally and have my progesterone checked post ovulation a couple times to make sure I am still ovulating? HELP! :(

I think you need to check that you are ovulating naturally before discounting clomid. Even if you are ovulating you can take clomid.

Clomid only had a 10% change of making twin, so I wouldn't worry about that.

If you are ovulating naturally surely it would be worth the chance of trying to go down the natural route (depending on your age) for a few cycles

Does Clomid still increase your chances of becoming pregnant if you already ovulate on your own? I just don't know if there is a benefit to taking it if I already do what it's made to make me do. If I'm not ovulating, I definitely will give clomid a try, just don't want to do something unnecessary especially when it takes so much time (doc visits and ultrasounds) and expense.

Yes, Clomid does increase your chances of conceiving even if you are ovulating, as it makes you produce more eggs.
So instead of having one egg, you could produce say 6.

If you are young enough, you could always just try to conceive naturally (say for 6 months) and try the clomid later

I'm thinking that's probably the smartest choice. At the same time, I'm sick of this waiting around to get pregnant :-( so many mixed feelings
