15th Cycle - last cycle before clomid

What a horrible, no good journey!. My husband & I are in our 20's. Both in good health. But my husband's sperm cout is boarder line. We are in the middle of our 15th cycle & next cycle we finally start our 1st round of clomid. Does anyone fear starting treatment bc it may not work & then that's it? I really care less about how the medication will affect me. I'm just so worried it wont work & I'll have to face that reality. Is there anyone with a similar situation? Maybe a success story?

Hello,
I am currently on my third cycle using clomid at 50mg. My husband and I have now been trying for 13 months. Husbands SA was good but my eggs don't mature - hence the clomid. If everything is good with you and it's just DH count that's the problem you should talk to your Dr about IUI - interuterine insemination. It can be used with or without clomid (although with has better results). Many OBGYN don't do the procedure but an RE would. The cost is usually about $500 per cycle for the procedure. They would have the best of his best and place them where they have the best chance to find that egg!!! We are looking at doing this maybe next month (my appt with the RE is next week) because I have a retroverted retroflexed uterus and that can also be one of our many problems!
Just somehting to think about. And don't give up hope. One of my good friends got pregnant on her first cycle using clomid. It really does have a lot of success!
