Period or Early Miscarriage? -First cycle postpartum

13 mo post partum, I started my first period. It was week long,and seemed just like a period. 18 days after that I took a pregnancy test and got a very faint positive. I know that's really early to test, but I figured I mist have Od really early. 2 days later I tested again and it was lighter. Over the next few days we watched it fade away. At the time I assumed it was a chemical pregnancy and that I would start bleeding soon.

But I didn't. And then I had EWCM. So now I I'm confused. If that was a chemical then I should have a period before O'ing again. Now I'm wondering if my first post partum 'period' was actually an early MC, and I just happened to pick up the last little bit in my blood?

What do you think happened? I guess it really doesn't matter either way, but it's bugging me ;)
