Question

Can you have positive OPKs and NOT ovulate?

3 days of positive OPKs...bleeding, no real temp shift....no sore boobs, no sore nipples (typical ov symptoms for me)....

Can you have a surge and not ovulate?


Me...33 Hubby...34 Nov 2002...high risk pregnancy, preterm labor @ 31wks, held in our son until 37wks, born 7lbs, 20in October 2007...blighted ovum @ 6w4d, D&C October 2012...fetal death @7w4d subchorionic hematoma, D&C, 46 chromosomes, normal female Waiting to TTC until June!

Yes ma'am, sure can. If the egg isn't matured enough to come out, u'll keep surging until it does or ur body bleeds from lack of hormone/full uterus, making it an anov cycle.

I'm not sure on that... BUT I will say that I did not see a positive surge however my progesterone blood test indicated I ovulated. :-/

yea, you can have elevated lh surge. kinda like pcos i think. i always had positives as lady stated above, my dr confirmed my ovulation through blood about 7 days after i ovulated or O day.

stress can cause a delay in ovulation as well. It is definitely possible. I trust BBT way more than OPK for that reason

Yes. OPK's only measure your surge in LH. If OPK is positive it does not mean you will definitely ovulate, it only measures the surge.
