Did I miss my LH surge with OPK? :/

I decided to start using OPKs this month. I am at cd15 /or aka so called ovulation day of a 28dc but didnt start using the opk until cd14 the afternoon before my ovulation is supposed to come. I`m a little confused bc it was faint lines (-) and dont know if I ovulated and missed LH surge on the test or if ovulation hasn`t occurred? I`ve been doing the BD and having lots of slippery CM too so does the opk not show on day of ovulation either?
