Finding out the baby's sex

Hi all,

What is the earliest that you were able to see your baby's sex?

I am having my 12 week scan next week and was wondering if it would be possible to tell that early.

Maybe a 4D scan might be more detailed to see.

With my son I had to wait until 32 weeks as each time we went his legs were closed :-)

At 12 weeks it's still a little too early to tell and they might not be able to do it then. A 3D scan would be able to tell you but the longer you wait the better the ultrasound will be :) in the US they do a blood screen called the harmony test which tests for genetic diseases and can also tell you the sex between 8-12 weeks I'm not sure where you are though.
