I personally haven't but interested to hear people's experiences from those who have.

just a point of caution - I worked in a maternity shop for a while and we had probably upto 10 returned a month as it is often hard to get a decent hb and then sends families into chaos and concern even though baby is ok. I would suggest not to use them in early pregnancy for this reason as it is sometimes hard to know where baby is lying and to get a good record and so can cause terrible concern, though think that hearing the hb in later stages is a really nice bonding process.
