Ovulation cramping, and ovulation??

Hi girls! Im on day 12 of my cycle, and am experiencing mild period-like cramping. Im assuming I will be ovulating soon. Does ovulation usually occur a day or two after the cramping begins??? Its hard for me to pinpoint ovulation yet because I miscarried a couple months ago, and my last 2 periods have been a little off. Im TTC again, and would love to have some form of idea when its coming. :) Baby dust please!!
