Firsttimemommy - Love the way you told your DH!!! So cute!

Well looks like I'm out and this was just an unusually light AF. BFN this morning along with a temp dip. It's still over the coverline, but I'm sure it will keep going down. Heading over to the January board. Baby dust to those waiting for your BFPs and Congrats again to those who got theirs!

Took another couple of digitals yesterday and today. Yesterday's result was 1-2 weeks, today's was 2-3 meaning my hcg went over 200 at some point in the last 24 hours. By this I have worked out I must have ovulated April 2nd meanin EDD is dec 24th!! Now that's a Christmas baby and a half! So pleased my levels are raising. I'm now past the point of the loss last month too. Fabulous.

Well Af got me today.. I was hoping this was our month but I guess not...af was 7 days late which was weird DH was getting excited about possibly this being our month but I guess I was just late...I am feeling as though maybe I am not suppose to try for another one and maybe I am just meant to have my 2 beautiful DD it has been a rough year for me since my miscarriage last year in May..I feel like maybe it's not meant to be for us to have more babies I think we should have tried earlier when we were younger i am (37) and dh is (47) our oldest will be turning 17 on April 30 and our youngest will be 12 in October and we have been trying for another one since our miscarriage last year and nothing ...sorry if I bored anyone with my story I guess I just feel bummed that af came after been 7 days late...well I guess I am off the January board, is there a January board??

Tfor#3 - oh i'm so sorry hun :( i know how gutting AF is each damn time she shows up. i was at the 1.5 year mark to finally get this BFP so i really hope it sticks!!!! you didn't bore me with your story. i'm happy you have 2 DD's :) i dearly hope you can add a third. if you guys are feeling overwhelmed maybe you need an emotional break from TTC. take a cycle off?? take care of you two first :)

barely there - i thought the sensitivity of the digitals was 50?? so when it comes to hpt's, when it matches the control line, is that your current beta level? so for a FRER, which is about 25 for a sensitivity, when you match the control line is your beta 25? i'm so trying to figure this out. i need my beta ran!!! lol. really glad your digital progressed :)

AFM, 13DPO. been testing each night after a 4-5 hour hold (trying to limit liquids, doesn't work very well). so excited to have my first beta tomorrow and my thyroid levels rechecked. i doubt i'll get a call w/results tomorrow, likely won't until saturday morning. continue to send me sticky vibes! i'm trying to not worry myself sick over my first BFP! here's my progression:

Well, saw the doc yesterday and she's confirmed progesterone levels fine (47???) so all should be ok. She didn't think any other tests necessary. Discussed other options and she said I'm now officially too old for IVF unless I pay private. Also gave me some advice re adoption. Said given my age I may want to start considering other options. Feeling really down and despondent, and not very hopeful, but glad I know.

Firsttimemommy. After A LOT of googling I found that for the digitals to show pregnant 1-2 weeks you have to be between 25 and 200, for 2-3 weeks between 200 and 2599 and above 2600 for 3+ weeks! So from this I'm guessing when you get the very faint lines on a normal test you've just hit the minimum it can record and it just gets stronger with more and more hcg. I'm going to take one more digital next thurs as if I'm doubling as I should be I'll be in that last range by then. I've also read that when bloods are taken they read 1.5 times higher than urine for hcg as it takes longer to progress into that!

Firsttimemommy - I'll be 7 weeks exactly. So freaking excited! And as for the HPTs, the sensitivity is the minimum level at which you can get a line, so if you get a light line and the sensitivity is 25, then you know you are at least at 25. The CBE digital is the only one that I know of with the weeks estimator based on increasing betas.

jfh2805--I'm really sorry you had such a disappointing talk with the doctor. I'm sending positive vibes and peace and strength to you! I recently heard about someone going on a "IVF vacation." It might be worth checking into, I think places like Chech Republic offer IVF for just a few thousand (like 2 or 3 thousand?) and its the same treatment you'd get anywhere else, modern and legit. You'd have travel costs of course, but at least you and hubby could at least get a nice vacation out of the deal! Best of luck as you think through your options.
