Looking for some buddies and info

Short History.
I am 39, DH 34.
We have been ttc for over 5 years.
We had tons of tests done including HCG or whatever it was and every single one came back normal and no reason why we should not be able to conceive.
1st Dr said lose weight. I did . I brought my BMI down from 38 to 32 in 12 months. We felt great hope and figured now we will succeed and still nothing!
Every one of my friends has had a baby or is currently pregnant in the past 12 months and I have found myself more and more isolated as I can not discuss having children or what its like being pregnant with them.
I have a very regular cycle though occasionally I get heavy clots. I mentioned this to DR as when I say heavy I mean like palm sized and up and she did not seem concerned which struck me as odd. I get positive OPK every month and have gotten this using 3 different types including the clearblue digital fertility monitor.
I am wondering if anyone knows about what the odds are of IUI being successful? The clinic we chose offers IUI with meds and ultrasounds . We are looking into it as we do not have enough saved for IVF and I am scarily getting closer to 40 and I know the rates of success drop by over 10%. I would love to hear some success stories via IUI from all of you. We are thinking of doing 2-3 cycles and then calling it quits.
I still plan to continue my workouts etc and who knows maybe it will happen naturally if I keep up with all of it but right now I am really looking for a buddy in this journey who understands the frustrations and the emotionally rollercoaster involved.
Success stories after long term TTC would be awesome to! I can use all the cheer up I can get !

Hi there. We have been ttc for 4 years. I am turning 36 and DH is 45. I have 2 teens from a previous marriage. DH has MFI and is currently on fertilaid with countboost. We are awaiting our semen analysis results right now. I have finally made the jump to a fertilty specialist because, like you said....we aren't getting any younger. IUI may be an option for us if his count isn't up high enough but IVF is financially out of the question. Our insurance doesn't cover any of this. We have our first appt next Monday. I ovulate every month also. It just doesn't seem to want to happen for us either and wonder if we should just give up too sometimes My sister has had 3 kids since I have been TTC . love those boys but it was rough watching her go thru it all and hold those babies!. I would certainly love to be a ttc buddy!

Hiya!
I meant to message you yesterday but one of my friends here gave birth last night. I am happy for her truly but at the same time I felt so horrid and alone.
I have noticed they have started excluding me out of things because all they want to do is compare pregnancies, labor and such.
I am scared about the IUI journey I know the success rates are low but it is the only thing we can afford to try right now.
Best of luck to you and I will message you my email so feel to write anytime. I may send random messages of feeling down cause it happens sometimes and my poor hubby does not know how to deal with that :-)
