'Pregnant 1-2' yesterday, followed by 'not pregnant' today?!

Hi,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 months. I am 34 (nearly 35) he is 38. Previously I was pill for 18 years!

Yesterday I was 11dpo. With FMU I tested two cheap internet dip sticks and they had VERY faint lines. I uploaded the images to this site and 84% of peeps said it looked positive, so when I got home (after not drinking or peeing for 3 hours) I did two more dip tests and again a very faint line appeared, so I decided to use one of the Clear Blue Digitial tests that I had bought a few days ago. It came up 'pregnant 1-2'! I was so happy and told hubby when he got home from work, who was also really happy!

I have been charting my BBT and my temps have been going up and up, this morning (12dpo) it was 36.85, it has never been this high, and this time last month it had dropped back down by 11dpo ready for period a few days later (I have 29 day cycles average). So a high reading this morning looked really promising!

However I did another Clear Blue Digital test this morning with FMU and it said 'not pregnant', and the dip sticks had faint line, but looked a bit fainter than yesterday I think, but hard to tell.

So now I'm confused! Have I had an early loss and would it show a difference that quickly, just over night? Although I was having some crazy cramps yesterday evening, but then I've been getting mild cramps through whole of luteal phase.

Or was one of the tests lying to me? Remember the positive test was with afternoon pee and the negative was with first morning pee! ...so I'm stumped. I'm assuming this morning's 'negative' is correct though as in theory the morning pee should be stronger?

Hubby is off work today, so he's going to go and buy me some more tests to do when I get in from work this evening and tomorrow morning. If they come back with a mixture of answers then I will see doctor, if they all say negative then I think I will believe them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could I still be pregnant, or is a negative a 'negative'!

xx

Hi, sorry for the late reply!

I'm pleased you're not fully recovered and you have the realisation that you are happy and content with the size of your family, with no extra members needed! ...never say never though! :)

Yeah, it's an exciting time! 2 and a half weeks until my 13 week scan and I can tell everyone! :) ...just praying that everything will be ok!! it's quite nerve-wrecking as well as exciting!

We'll find out the gender at my 20 weeks scan in September (seems like forever away!!) but we will find out, not keep it as a surprise. We're secretly hoping for a girl! But obviously we'll still be over the moon with a little boy as well! ...like you say, as long as their healthy that's all that really matters! :)

Take care! xxx

Lol sooo my husband and I are going through the process to adopt!! I wanted more, I just didn't want to be pregnant again. We've had it in our hearts since before we were married 7 years ago, but thought it too costly so we were waiting until we could afford a 20K adoption (agh). Found out that when going through a public agency it can cost 0-$1000. We're taking our intro class July 25. We want an older child, in fact we found a boy who is 10 that we desparately want but since in takes a minimum of 2-3 months to complete the process it's likely we won't even be able to throw our hat in the ring for him as he's had some interest lately. :( we'll see though, everything works out exactly how it should.

Yeah I was always excited but also nervous at all those appointments! The what ifs can get you! At least when they start moving you start to feel a little better or I did anyways! We always found out the gender also! Do guys have those gender reveal parties over there? Those weren't even a thing when I was pregnant! Lol

Ah, that's brilliant that you're adopting!! I've always loved the idea of adopting and giving a home to child who needs one! ...but if I never had one of my own I know I'd regret it, so maybe number two could be adopted! :)

yeah, i'm hoping once I get a bump, and I can feel movements that i'll relax!

Gender reveal parties?! ...we don't have them over here, unless it's something new that i've never heard of yet! ....but then baby showers are a relatively new thing for us too, we stole the idea from you guys in the US!

Hi! I hope the adoption process is moving along nicely for you, and you're now fully recovered from your illness!

I thought I'd share our ultrasound pic with you! The scan was this Monday just gone and they dated me 2 days ahead at 13weeks 5 days, so today I am 14 weeks and 1 day already! :)

Everything was fine, saw baby moving around with a perfect hertbeat! :) So happy!! :)

Oh my goodness!!! Look at peanut just in there chillin! Lol. Wow 14 weeks already, I can't believe it's already been so much time. Bet you'll be finding out the sex soon, I always found out at 18 weeks. Baby looks amazing :D.

I am fully recovered but when I lift I can still feel a little pain through my belly button scar. So random! Lol. We are still waiting on the intro meeting, but I did get all the paperwork that we've started going through. It's not looking like we will get the boy we had our eye on, but there are thousands of kiddos out there. It makes it a lot less stressful so we can take our time a little more to get all our stuff done.

It's always a fun surprise to hear from you! Glad it's going so well...I'm putting my gender vote in...I'm going boy, I don't know why?! Love my girls though so here's praying for a girl! ????????

I know, 14 weeks already!! :) ...yes we'll find out the gender at our next ultrasound scan, which is at 20 weeks, booked for Sept 18th, the day after hubby's birthday!! He's hoping for a girl so I hope he gets a nice birthday present, but I have a feeling it's a boy!

Pleased you're all recovered!

Ah it must be so exciting for you, especially when you get to meet your new family member for the first time! :) Exciting times ahead for us both!

Take care xxx

That's awesome! I was on here rating pregnancy tests, (lol I don't know why?!) and made me wonder if it was time yet?! Saw the last post with the date.

Oh nothing new, but adoption put on hold as my job is threatening to take me down to 2 days a week. So we thought we better hold off until we know that my job will be there after the new year!
