'Pregnant 1-2' yesterday, followed by 'not pregnant' today?!

Hi,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 months. I am 34 (nearly 35) he is 38. Previously I was pill for 18 years!

Yesterday I was 11dpo. With FMU I tested two cheap internet dip sticks and they had VERY faint lines. I uploaded the images to this site and 84% of peeps said it looked positive, so when I got home (after not drinking or peeing for 3 hours) I did two more dip tests and again a very faint line appeared, so I decided to use one of the Clear Blue Digitial tests that I had bought a few days ago. It came up 'pregnant 1-2'! I was so happy and told hubby when he got home from work, who was also really happy!

I have been charting my BBT and my temps have been going up and up, this morning (12dpo) it was 36.85, it has never been this high, and this time last month it had dropped back down by 11dpo ready for period a few days later (I have 29 day cycles average). So a high reading this morning looked really promising!

However I did another Clear Blue Digital test this morning with FMU and it said 'not pregnant', and the dip sticks had faint line, but looked a bit fainter than yesterday I think, but hard to tell.

So now I'm confused! Have I had an early loss and would it show a difference that quickly, just over night? Although I was having some crazy cramps yesterday evening, but then I've been getting mild cramps through whole of luteal phase.

Or was one of the tests lying to me? Remember the positive test was with afternoon pee and the negative was with first morning pee! ...so I'm stumped. I'm assuming this morning's 'negative' is correct though as in theory the morning pee should be stronger?

Hubby is off work today, so he's going to go and buy me some more tests to do when I get in from work this evening and tomorrow morning. If they come back with a mixture of answers then I will see doctor, if they all say negative then I think I will believe them.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could I still be pregnant, or is a negative a 'negative'!

xx

Oh really?! I didn't know that! Thanks, that makes me a little more feel a little more positive about my lines appearing fainter. Although it's still strange that I got a 'pregnant' on the digi one 2 days ago, maybe it was a fluke!

I thought the digital ones were more sensitive, as they say 'test 4 days early' on the box! But then they probably all say that to make you buy them! :)

Thanks! xx

Me again! ...Today I'm also getting quite strong cramps on my right side, they feel similar to ovulation pain?! Almost like a constant ache.

I had this pain on the right side a couple of evenings ago as well, but otherwise the cramps have been anywhere, but today they are specifically on the right side again.

Should I be worried? Or am I just noticing everything right now?! The word 'ectopic' keeps coming to mind, but surely it's too early for me to feel anything if that was the case, although I'm only going by what I've read. I'm 13dpo today.

I honestly still think you are good. You're still early and what's really funny is once I got my positive, I never took another test. They aren't reliable for progression either (which I see a lot on here) because some have more dyes than others, things like that. I promised myself I wouldn't test today and low and behold another bfn. Again don't know why I do this, I never get bfps before 5 weeks.

So in conclusion ;) I think holding off a few days will make a world of difference, but I know that's easier said than done!!!! Oh also the side pain, tooootally normal also. Keep us in the know!! One last thing, there is a chart on here by test sensitivity that will show you which brand are stronger than others, just in case you hadn't seen that.

Ah, thanks! Here's me completely freaking out about every little feeling and you put my mind an ease!

I know I need to just wait and see if AF comes on Friday and if not then do a test, and if a line appears then go and see my doctor ....but those are the thoughts of a rational person, which I am clearly not! haha! :)

Hahaa yes thoughts of the rational...oh how I wish I were one of those people also! If you can search forums look up "am I crazy?" And you will feel not so alone...I read about 20 pages of it one day and not only is it hilarious, it will make you feel a little more sane for being insane.

I've been crazy since we did the deed (minus protection) because we weren't really trying, have no idea if or when I ovulated and last cycle was a week late even though we never had straight unprotected. So this is month 2 of crazy back to back. I don't really want to talk to any one about it either in regards to family or friends, just because I don't want to get their hopes up and mine. :/ though I'd be so excited for another baby, I'm not 100% that I want another one, but I don't not want one...see straight up crazy person.

haha, that made me laugh! ...at least I'm not the only 'crazy' one then! :)

Lol absolutely not :D the worst part is, the crazy doesn't stop after the pregnancy...no no, then you obsess about everything about the baby. Are they eating enough, sleeping enough, doing the right things at the right times. Never ends...the crazy starts here!

I have all that to look forward to then! ....hopefully!!! :)
