Mittleschmerz or ovarian cyst?

Hi all! This is our first month officially TTC #3! I got my first positive OPK yesterday and today I had very sharp pains near my right ovary that lasted about an hour. They were severe enough to double me over! I've been achy in that area since the shooting pains subsided, but it's not as bad now. OPK is back to negative today. Does this sound like ovulation pain or more like a cyst? Have any of you ever experienced this? What was your outcome? All input is appreciated. :-)
