Period changes from 5 days to 7 days

My cycle has always been regular down to the minute. Its has always been 5 days and 5 days only. Well just recently this last cycle my period was 4 days late and then lasted almost 7 days. Has this happened to anyone else?

I did think I was pregnant but I didnt test because I was going to wait till I was at least a week late. The only changes in this cycle from prev is that I started taking cinnamon pills to help control my appitate and sugar consumption.
Ive read stories where women have a complete period but are still pregnant. So confused.
