Positive hpts after period? Still??
I keep getting positive hpts after my period and then nothing. I know I'm not pregnant. The only reason I keep testing is because my periods have been very light, not normal. This has been going on for 4 months now with the positive hpts. I don't get it. Ive been having a lot of other issues like breast changes and hot flashes and mood swings, I'm afraid I may be perimenopausal anyone else going through this??

Oh I loved Maine! I lived in Hebron for years! Thhe winters are LONG and the muddy season is no joke, but I love it. Do you take any supplements? Cod liver oil would be helpful for immune support and hormonal balance. Could you tell me a little bit more about your hormonal symptoms? Do you chart? I'm not an expert of any kind, but working through my own hormonal issues I have learned heaps and could maybe point you in the direction of some things that could help you. Bloodwork would be a great start, and if you can see a gynecologist that would be ideal. I know how expensive it is, but with symptoms like is it's so important! Here are some possible causes I found online:
Other medications can also cause false-positive pregnancy tests. They include but aren’t limited to:
anti-anxiety medications, like diazepam (Valium) or alprazolam (Xanax)
antipsychotics, such as clozapine or chlorpromazine
anticonvulsants, like phenobarbital or other barbiturates
Parkinson’s disease medications, including bromocriptine (Parlodel)
diuretics, like furosemide (Lasix, Diuscreen)
antihistamines, including promethazine
methadone (Dolophine)
7. Certain medical conditions
Rarely, certain medical conditions can cause a home pregnancy test to give a false positive. These include:
urinary tract infection
kidney disease that causes blood or white blood cells in the urine
ovarian cysts, particularly corpus luteum cysts
more serious diseases, such as ovarian cancer
pituitary problems (very rarely)
As you can see, some are totally harmless, but some are more serious. Not trying to scare you here, but if I was you I would financially prioritise investigating this in case it's something serious. Check out Jordan Paige's budgeting tips, grocery and meal planning stuff, if can save you a ton!
