TTC with a toddler...
Boy this is hard. LOL I'm not a HUGE fan of "snuggling" in the first place, and now that we are not, not ttc I just seem to have no energy. Pair that with a 2.5 year old and the heat we've had recently... at bedtime I totally just want to crash. And the fact that I need to get up at 5:45 to get ready for work and that means going to bed by 10 at the latest... and hubby is on summer vacation (he's a school teacher) and he likes to stay up super late. So usually when he comes to bed I am already passed out.
Also, we started potty training last week.... good lord. My dd is so much clingier when I get home and has been waking up multiple times at night, to which I have to go in and get her calmed down because hubby "needs his sleep" (he NEVER got up with her when she was an itty bitty....)
So, needless to say I think this cycle is a total bust. Not only is my body getting back into the swing of things but I don't thing we did all we could to conceive.
And to top that off, dd is getting a little obsessed with babies. One of her little school friends has newborn twin brothers, so she saw his mom get huge and we had to explain about the babies in her tummy. And then a friend of ours just had a little boy, so she used to talk to him in her tummy. My mom said that at least three or four of the moms in the art class she goes to are also pregnant... So I was putting my bathing suit on the other night for swim class and she started in (again) with how I have a baby in my tummy. I told her no... and then she went crying to daddy because "Mommy says no baby sister in tummy!" and my husband was egging her on.... and then we go to swim class and she tells the teacher that she has a baby sister coming! Good lord... heaven forbid I get pregnant and she gets a brother....
Anyway, dh and I are headed off to the west coast next week for vacation. The little one is staying with Mema and Roger (her grandfather, who's name is Gary... don't ask... no one knows). We'll see what happens. AF is due on Tuesday. Thought I had a little cramping today, and have been feeling vaguely nauseous this last week... and very thirsty and tired...

Trying to conceive when having a toddler is extremely hard! Tonight we should get in our time but right now its 10pm and my 3.5 year old dd is still going. Daddy is off to bed while I'm left trying to get her to settle down and I'm sure he will be out cold when I do finally get her to sleep. Errrr. Oh well. Good luck to you and have a great relaxing vacation, I hope af stays away the entire time and your blessed with great news!

Thanks so much for the well wishes and also knowing that toddlers are crazy. :-) We've been blessed with a good sleeper, once she is down at least. This morning she slept until 8am when she is usually up between 5 and 6. :-) Except at Mema's house... there she is down at night and sleeps until 8am at the earliest... I'm ready to enjoy myself in CA. :-)

That's great she's a good sleeper, My daughter has never been a good sleeper even from day 1 :( I just get used to it I guess lol...I will definitely be ready for a newborn if it ever happens because I have never gotten out of that sleeping routine. It's so funny she calls her grandfather a totally different name...kids come up with the strangest things!
