brown spotting for 5 days midcycle

i was taking the yaz pill at the start of august for reasons i cant go into, anyway we decided to stop it as i kept forgetting or taking it late. i got quite a lot of ewcm 2 weeks ago so i assumed i had ovulated . about 2 days after i got all the normal signs, wind, pain in boobs ect but also started spotting brown cm 3 days after i stopped the pill i had mild cramping for 5 days too..its stopped now and turned to milk white cm. i have taken a hpt today which was bfn, so my question is , is that bleed i had a breakthrough bleed? and how can i know when my af is due? i know this a long post but hopefully someone can help x
