I agree with thorntoj86... before taking any hormonal supplement I would consult with your doctor. I have a very short luteal phase (7-8 days) and am trying Vitex this cycle, which is an herbal supplement to support a womans reproductive hormones. Do some research online... but I would also advice speaking with your doctor about it as well. Good luck!

Taking progesterone supplements without the advice of the doctor isn't necessarily a good thing. One, you need to be sure that's why you have a shorter luteal phase. If your P4 (progesterone) levels are good, you do not want to take more (too much P$ can cause un-wanted side effects such as abnormal bleeding...)Also, if indeed you do need P4 your doctor will recommend the proper dosage (too little won't change anything, too much can cause serious side effects).
Good luck

I have a 25 day cycle with a 9/10 day luteal phase and I fell pregnant in November. I ended up losing the baby but there was something wrong with baby's development. So it's definitely possible to get pregnant with a short lp but you might want to talk to your doc about lengthening it. Good luck! :)
