Can't say yet to the pregnancy part since I just had my first HSG last month that ended in no pregnancy, although I seen it can increase your chances the first few months so we'll see. All I do know is it was the worst cycle ever!!!! I noticed you said you use OPK's, are you temping as well? That can make a big difference.

I am not an especialist, so please, take my experience just as that. I couldn[t get pregnant for a year and a half. Did HSG and everything was ok. I took clomid but, I also went for a scan to see the size of my follicles, around day 9. The first time I did it, i already had a 22 mm follicle (thanks to Clomid!), so the doctor gave a trigger (Ovitrelle) to use it next day. I did and I got pregnant. The second time I did the same, but at day 9 I had a small follicle (12mm) so I came for another scan on day 13 (follicle was 20mm) and triggered on day 14. I got pregnant again. Dr said that sometimes your body does not mature enough the follicles and even if you ovulate, they are not good for pregnancy. Clomid helps the growing and maturation but the trigger gives the final push to complete the process. Plus, wiith the trigger you know for sure that you will oulate between 36 and 42 hours after using it so you can plan.... Hope it helps.
