Does metformin make your cycle really short

I've been ttc for 6.5 years and having help from a 're for 2 of them. 2 months ago I began accupuncture and 1500mg metformin and my last cycle was 23 days and I've been having af symptoms and spotting and im only on cd 16 this month. Im supposed to be resuming treatment with my RE next cycle but I want to know if anyone else has experienced tjis with metformin. Thank you in advance for your help

your midcycle spotting may actually be ovulation spotting as its cd 16, i had it a few months ago. ive been on metformin four years and only now getting cycles down to 24-30 days apart.

Thats what I thought too. Af came full flow this morning :( day 17

I'd see your dr then as that is indicating a problem
