I personally am not a runner, but my cousin is and she ran while trying to conceive and for much of her pregnancy. I believe her doctor's advice was if you did it before you can pretty much keep it up if you feel up to it. I don't think that running while ttc would hurt your chances.

My RE said it is good to exercise while ttc but not over doing it. Too much exercise can cause you not to O. I have heard that Chinese medicine docs say to not do anything other than walking from af to O and nothing after O. I personally cut back on exercising and have gained 50 pounds since ttc. I feel as long as you are Oing, keep running because the weight gain is not good. I am now having a very hard time loosing the weight.

I did 3 hour karate classes twice a week and still got pregnant, I don't think it matters. Once your are pregnant you might want to cut back a little bit

I run shorter distances (~1 mile) more often (4-5 times) during the week because I read that high body temperatures tend to be bad environments for making babies.

Thank you Ladies! I want to continue running but since we've been trying for so long my husband doesn't want to jinx any chances of success since we're doing an IUI this month for the first time.
