250mcg is approximately 6700IU. Ovidrel has a half life of 27 hours, meaning the amount in your system drops by half every 27 hours (this can be a bit faster or slower depending on your metabolism). So, the day after the shot, you'd have about 3,350IU in your system, the day after that about 1,675, etc. Assuming that less than 10IU or so is safe not to give you a false positive pregnancy test, the average time would be about 11 days.

essemkay, that conversion makes more sense. Didn't know there were two units of measurement. So yes, 6700 will take roughly 9-11 days or so, so you will either want to test to get a baseline and see if it gets darker if testing from 8DPO and on or just wait until 14DPO when it should be out for sure.

I did forget when I did IVF I took a few rounds of Pregnyl after the transfer. It's supposed to help with the implantation. Will have to ask my Dr. about maybe doing it next month.
