I need your advice

Hi, there. I have got some distinct problems with my health. Actually, I’ve got glomerulonephritis. It’s a serious kidney disease. I feel quite ok, but I have a high blood pressure from time to time and albumen in my urine. My GP says that I shouldn’t try to get pregnant as my kidneys may stop working during my pregnancy. She says that there might be great risks both for me and my baby during the pregnancy. She advises either to adopt or to try surrogacy. Is there anybody here who has managed to conceive and give birth to a child while having any kidney problems?

GenesisMiss, are you going to find a surrogate in your country or travel abroad? If you choose the second variant, pay attention to the laws of the country where you’re going to look for a surrogate. Surrogacy is banned in loads of countries. So you may even break some laws by trying to find a surrogate in such countries. I think it’s better to consult an attorney before starting doing anything. It’s quite important to find out whether a surrogate will be able to claim her rights for the baby. I would also check whether you’ll be able to leave that country and enter your native country with a baby who was carried and given birth by a surrogate.

Hi, everyone. I’m back again to this site. My hubby and I want to try to find a surrogate in Ukraine. This country seems to have quite loyal surrogacy laws. According to Ukrainian laws, surrogacy on a commercial basis is allowed in this country. The intended parents are considered to be true parents of the baby. It means that a surrogate can’t claim her rights. Of course, we’ll visit an attorney to get more details about surrogacy in Ukraine. In addition, we’ll get some assistant from the clinic we’re going to deal with. They will help us to obtain the Birth Certificate of the baby at the Ukrainian Registry office. In addition, they will help us to get a travel pass for the baby.

Hi, there. To my mind, Ukraine isn’t the best place to look for a surrogate. It’s a poor country. Though its surrogacy laws are quite loyal, I wouldn’t go there. In addition, it’s at war now. I don’t even know whether it’s safe to go there or not. I would look for a better and safer place to look for a surrogate.

The things in Ukraine aren’t as bad as you may think. My hubby and I visited Ukraine nearly 6 months ago. We went to Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. Kiev turned to be quite peaceful and modern. There are loads of interesting things to see and to do there. In addition, it’s quite cheap place. The only thing, I would recommend to book accommodation before going there. You may also need the services of the interpreter.

Hi, ladies! Thanks for your feedbacks about Ukraine. We are going to deal with Biotexcom. It is a fertility clinic that is situated in Kiev. It’s the capital city of Ukraine. I have a close friend who lives in Kiev. She told us that it’s rather peaceful place. She was the one who recommended us Biotexcom. We won’t have to look for an apartment as the clinic will provide us with free accommodation. They will also supply us with a driver and an interpreter. I think we won’t have any problems with our visit to Kiev. At least, I hope so.

I am assuming if you have CKD that you see a renal specialist. I think this is something I would get their opinion on, or even to book in with an obstetrician for a second opinion before going any further. Your GP may or may not know the most recent advice around this issue.

Hi ladies!

I have read about Ukraine being perfect country for infertility treatment. You can take an accommodation if you are from another country. The prices are very affordable. I am planning to go there for surrogacy. I am infertile from last 5 years. I was having an infection in my uterus. Chances to get pregnant very law. So I decided to go for surrogacy. Among surrogacy agencies, I have selected babyboom clinic. According to reviews, they are good.

Wish me good luck!

Hello OP! Thanks for this thread. I think it's very important topic. Especially for women who go abroad to have surrogacy or ivf with donor eggs. I'm one of them. I'm currently looking where my surrogacy can be done. This is not easy to decide where to go. Nowadays there are hundreds of clinics, but not all of them can be called professional. That's why so many intended parents fall into troubles. I'm in a search for a couple of months already. During this time I've read so many stories of women who shared their surrogacy experience. Some of them are so touching. You read them and you think everything will be perfect. But some of them are so disturbing... It's so scary that even surrogacy can go wrong. We should be very careful and overthink each step.
