Positive test 17 days past trigger
Hi Ladies! I just completed my first IUI cycle this past month. I took a 250 mcg Ovidrel shot on 2/15/16 and am now 17 days past trigger (18 if you count the day of the shot). I've been obsessively taking hpt's for the past several days and keep getting positives and I've tried every brand under the sun. The positives started out faint but are now dark. I'm not due to get my blood test until tomorrow but the suspense is literally KILLING me! My question is: Can I trust these positive results or could it still be the trigger in my system? Has anyone here experienced a false positive this late in their cycle following trigger. Just want to manage my own expectations going into the blood test so i'm not devastated if I get a negative.
Thanks!

Hi there. I had my first IUI back in January. My clinic does the blood test 12dpiui so I would assume that 17dpiui the trigger would not be in your system and your test would mean bfp. I didn't take any hpts before my blood test cause I didn't want to see a bfp. I ended up having a bfn at 12dpiui but then af never showed up and 17dpiui I had another blood test and got a bfp. Unfortunately it ended up being a chemical.
Good luck to you! I think those bfps you're getting is an excellent sign.
