How long did you wait before trying again?

Morning everyone. I'm incredibly sad to say that I am suffering another miscarriage, today I'll be 6+3 weeks. I lost another pregnancy at 6+4 in April. We waited a good 3 or 4 months before trying again, and luckily for us I conceived again in November. I found out I was pregnant the weekend before Christmas, which I saw as a total blessing. However sadly now I am sat here with heavy bright red flow and period cramps. I know what's happening. Could there be something wrong with me if I've had two miscarriages in relatively quick succession of each other? This would have been my second baby, I already have a beautiful 4 year old boy who I desperately what to give a sibling to. This is all so cruel. I'm sorry for my emotional post it's just that the heavy bleeding and cramps started just this morning so it's still a bit raw for me. Should I wait for another period before we start trying again or should we try as soon as I've been given the all clear? Thank you all for reading my sad post, I hope I've not given any of you negative vibes x

I'm so sorry for your losses. :( It's so hard having two back to back. I personally would not wait unless they gave me a good reason to. I started trying right away after both of mine. (my first at 13 and second at 21 weeks) Some doctors say getting pregnant right after a loss increases your chance of it happening again but I don't see how that could be true unless there was some other underlying issue.

Do what you think is best for you. *hugs*

Im sorry for your loss i just want to say ive had 3 losses back to back all early ones i waited 3-4 months in between each after my last one i thought go for it clearly waiting didnt make a difference and have just got my bfp before getting a period, i cant say whether not waiting has been successfull as its still so early the advise i got was to try when ready the only reason docs say to wait is so they can date the pregnancy easier,
The reaseach i found helped me come to terms 1 in 4 ends in a loss maimly due to abnormalities in the baby so nothing you could do can stop it hope that helps you
Carry on taking your vitamins i carried on taking folic acid and vitamin d after my misscarriage i started taking vitamin b complex which it supposed to improve blood circulation and calcium and magnesium which i think prevents muscles contracting and drink plenty of water
Thoughts are with you xx

I had a natural miscarriage on Nov 21st at 5w5d. Dr said he wasn't sure if I'd ovulate right away as it could take some time for cycle to return. I continued temping and doing opks and ovulated 15 days after first day of miscarriage bleeding. Took a pregnancy test 2 weeks after ovulation and it was positive. Went to get blood test. I've had 3 so far and numbers doubling every 35 hours. I'm 6w1d today. I go for my first scan this week. I'm a nervous wreck. So worried about another miscarriage.

It was not recommended that we wait 3 months, he just said it could take a while to get cycle back to normal and I've never heard that a pregnancy after a miscarriage is more likely to end in another miscarriage unless the reason for miscarriage is medical.

I took Vitex before my pregnancy and continued to take it after my miscarriage. The Dr. made me stop taking it after my BFP and prescribed progesterone supplements.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Please talk to your Dr to see if there's an underlying medical reason. Otherwise, I'd keep trying. Don't lose hope.
