Success stories after 2 or more miscarriages?

I'd like to hear anyone's success stories after having 2 or more consecutive miscarriages? I've just had my second m/c which started on New Year's Day. Way to start a new year! I'm feeling a little more positive about trying again but to help me really get my mojo back I'd love to hear from those of you who went on to have healthy babies after 2 or more m/c's. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow and will ask if I can be tested to see if I have the blood clotting issue, however I already have a healthy 4 year old so is it something you can develop over time or do you always have it? I guess my doctor can tell me. I'm also going to start taking folic acid and vit D, is that the right one?

Hoping to hear some happy stories ???? xx

I recently had a miscarriage, it was the first time I have ever been pregnant so we were very excited, and very dissapointed when it didn't work out. After this I spoke to my Aunt who I knew had suffered a couple of miscarriages. They had been trying for 4 years before their first pregnancy, then had 2 miscarriages before having 4 healthy boys! So it is possible, we told ourselves it was my body having a trial run before the real thing. Good luck with your journey x

I'm a success story. I had a miscarriage, then a failed IVF, then a chemical, all in 2014. Then in January 2015 got pregnant. My son is now a healthy 3 month old baby boy & I'm in my early 40s! The things that helped me the most was improving my nutrition (lots of fruits & veggies & a diabetic type of diet fire newly discovered mild PCOS), discovering I had a vitamin d deficiency & taking vitamin d & hypothyroidism & taking vit d & thyroid medicine, getting my anemia treated, and lastly acupunture (I think the supplements, accountability & talk therapy helped more than the needles). Message me if you want. GL!

I'm with you. I have a happy, healthy 3 yo son, but just had my second miscarriage in a row.

I go back in two weeks for my post op (I had a d&c) and my doc wants to discuss testing to just rule anything out. Then we'll decide from there to try again.

I think I'm willing to try one more time. I'm 37, have completely normal cycles and conceive fairly quickly, but lost my first at 8 wks (stopped developing at 6) and this one the same way.

Hi Charliered and auburnmama!
I don't have a success story but I am in the same boat with you two. I had the easiest first pregnancy..my daughter is now almost 3. I recent suffered two MCs in a row, one in October and another in December. I had my check up with OB and they won't send me to a specialist until 3 MCs. I really don't want it to get to that point. So I totally have to agree with eat2nourish! I have done my share of research and thought back to my first pregnancy. I was in my best shape and eating the cleanest and healthiest foods back then. So I am almost done with my paleo/whole30 in a few days and plan on continuing it. I am cautious but also feeling very optimistic that this third time we TTC will be the charm.

I was also taking a generic brand of prenatals and just switched over to the better brand with folate instead of folic acid (same one I took with DD) and added fish oil and iron to help. I can tell you so far that my recovery from the second MC has been incredibly faster and AF was right on time, and my body isn't as bloated, PMS symptoms are like astronomically less! I also switched from doing crossfit to now more functional workouts at a boot amp. So lots going on my end. I would love for you to join me in this lifestyle change of food, diet and exercise. I just thought, all this is for a baby, and what do I have to lose really?
