Unexplained Spotting

Not really sure in which forum this question should be, but hopefully someone here can give some insight. I got my period 7 days ago, and my periods are very regular and always 4-5 days, with day 5 being very light. I've never in my life, ever experienced spotting. Not even when I was young and just starting my period. Not one single time has there ever been even a tiny bit of spotting. So right now, I'm 2 days past the end of my period and I am definitely experiencing a significant amount of spotting this morning and I have no idea why! and it's not dark, old blood left over from my period. It's fresh, pink blood. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now and I know that some women still get that first period after conception, but my period was pretty heavy so it just seems unlikely that I did conceive (plus I got about a million BFNs). Any ideas on why all of a sudden, I would be spotting????
