2 week late period or miscarriage?

Ok so my period is *was* two weeks late. I have been having some strong pregnancy symptoms. The only symptom I did not experience was an obvious bfp.

Yesterday or last night rather, I had a sudden sharp pain. I went to use the restroom and noticed a spot of blood. Late that night I got up to use the restroom again and notice alot of bright red blood followed by extreme cramping and nausea in waves. Thank god ir lessened.

like I said, it was really strange pains. The pain lessened with each wave. And my boobs instantly were not sore anymore.

luckily I had scheduled an appointment with an obgyn that day.

They did a bunch of tests. The urine test came back negative, surprisingly. My ovaries were fine, no cysts. And my uterus was empty.

My doctor said it was probably a late period.

so now im back home completely dumbfounded. Because I was 100% sure I was in fact pregnant and was going for a miscarriage checkup instead.

I still believe I miscarried and my doctor was wrong.

The amount of blood I passed startled me enough for it not to just a normal period.

what do you gals think? Do you think my doctor was wrong?
