CD 1..TTC Baby #2 and need buddies!!

I have a 3 year old little girl. I had the mirena iud removed in November and my husband and I decided to wait until after the first of the year to start ttc. This is my second cycle ttc and today is cd 1 for me. Just joined today and could use buddies for the journey!

Zuberi: I have also decided not to tell DH when I am Oing and when I'm not. It just doesn't seem to be a real turn on for him for some reason

Mewlingstork: Hopefully you already O'd especially if you feel good about all the BDing you've been able to do!

Dbjohnson: AF left yet?

AFM: SOOO...... I will try to sum this up quickly. Last wk I was having some odd pain and started bleeding out of the blue. Had an u/s and pelvic exam both showed no infection or left over tissue. However, the pain is from muscle spasms in my vagina so for that I am to put Valium in there every night to relax those muscles....yes... my vagina needs a chill pill I knew I had muscle spasms but apparently they have gotten much worse.. so far the Valium is working. So then they sent me to lab to have hcg draw to make sure it had went to 0.. which it had not. It was at 1100 so I had to have blood draw again today to make sure it is going down. Ugh! All this work and some ppl can get pregnant and have it so easy (including myself w/ my first baby). You don't really appreciate it until you have to deal with all this. So basically if it isn't going down they have to try to figure out why (left over tissue, tissue in fallopian tube, etc.) and then possibly another d&c. Oh and bleeding was from left over fluid in uterus which they used a catheter to get out which hurt worse than any pain I've ever experienced. So.. now waiting for my test results. Oh but I do have good news! First off we had sex for first time last night and everything was good no severe pain or anything. Also I have an apt with recurrent pregnancy loss specialist Sept 24th so hopefully that gets here quickly. Apparently he thinks all losses should count (thank goodness). So in the mean time I am not supposed to get pregnant but DH thinks the "pull-out" method will suffice so that is the plan haha

@amanda: I am so excited you have your appointment with the specialist. It sounds like he will really listen, and be a partner in this ttc game. I wish you the best of luck. Yes, AF cleared out a few days ago... I just didn't post about it. My DH has been all over me lately, it is crazy. He is also in the mindset that he doesn't want to know when I am Oing. he wants it all to be natural, not scheduled. Boys are silly.

Amanda, I am so glad you have an appointment with the specialist. I hope that goes well and you finally get some answers! I chuckled a bit at the part about your vagina needing a chill pill. :)

Good Morning!

Usually we have nice weather in Portland until mid-October. However, it has been rainy and overcast the last couple days, and it smells like the season it changing. I am not ready for fall!

@Mewling: I am going through something similar to you. My opk is super light this morning. I haven't had that happen before; several dark then light again. I wonder what it means?

AFM: cd 9, opk was lighter this morning, don't know what that means. I really haven't had any cm yet (and I am chugging green tea like crazy), so I am guessing I am still a few days off from Oing. We have BDed a couple times to get things started. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is our cycle!

Dbjohnson and Mewling: I have had that happen where you have darker opks then lighter then will get positive later. From research I've done the best conclusion I can give is the possibility your body is gearing up to O and then decides otherwise b/c of stress or whatever then O's a little later OR could be the time of day you are taking opks.. like we've talked about before it SO important to make sure you are taking the same time each day (not FMU) and that you've had about the same fluid intake beforehand. I'm sure that's not it though if you've had a few days of darker then lighter. As Zuberi had said before though you always have some LH in your system but my typical pattern shows getting darker and darker until I get a positive.

AFM: Nothing new here. Just waiting on my test results from yesterday's blood draw. Hopefully some good news. My sister in law is going to have her baby anytime now (she was due Sunday) so we are all just waiting for that to happen. Oh I forgot to mention that when I was going thru all this terrible m/c stuff this time that we found out that my uncle and his wife found out they r expecting.....and were due the day after us. Talk about a knife to the heart. But here's to being positive and happy for other people b/c selfishness never gets you anywhere!

Amanda, I'm hoping for good news for you! I can't believe how well you are taking things. I have some friends who have babies close in age to my guy that are pregnant and I struggle. I'm happy for them of course, but I want to be pregnant too!! :)

Nothing new here, I need to work on doing OPK at same time each day. I'm so forgetful sometimes!!

I finally had a discussion today with my husband about what his thoughts and feelings about pregnancy for us are right now. He wants to be pregnant in the next year, where I thought it was more a "get pregnant now" type of thing. This really takes any stress off of me, which was unwarranted but happening anyway. I think that it will happen in time, but our biggest obstacle right now is my irregular cycle. I think the cause of that is breastfeeding, so in time the breastfeeding will be a lot less and that will give us a better chance at getting pregnant!

Glad you ladies are here to hear my ramblings!

CD 24. I think I'm getting close to EWCM, which I've never really noticed before, but this cycle seems really noticeable. Do you guys check your CM or just notice what's in your underwear? I don't know quite how to ask that, did I ask in a horribly awkward way??

Have a great Wednesday!

@Mewling: Feel free to ask anything. We are all here to help and ask questions. I don't "check" my cm, it shows itself around O time. I've thought about checking cervical position (it seems all the hard core TTC ladies do it), but that is a little over the top for me. I'm glad you talked with your DH and took some pressure off of yourself. We have to remember that this is supposed to be fun

Hey ladies.

Mewling: I don't really "check" my cm either. I kinda notice it on the tp.

Dbjohnson: I tried to check my cp but didn't really know what I was doing so I stopped. Lol

Cd11 for me. I had some o pain today and also a small amount of ewcm. And a almost + opk. So I will probably get a + tommorow.

Hope you guys are having a great day! Happy bding. Lol

Mewling: Glad your hubby gave you a little stress relief! As far as CM goes.. I check mine. I just stick one finger in there and then rub two fingers together to observe it. Sometimes it's easy to observe in your panties but only if you have enough and that doesn't seem that case for me on a daily basis. I also think it's really had to figure it out looking at tp. I may not have enough that actually comes out though. As far as cervical position goes... I agree with the other ladies.. that's a little too hard-core for me. I've read a lot about it but I still don't really understand what I would be trying to feel so I haven't even tried it.

Zuberi: Yay for O! Hopefully tomorrow!

AFM: More bad news.. First off my the specialist now doesn't want to see me until 6 wks until my hcg drops to 0 which sucks super bad but what sucks worse is that I found out that my insurance won't pay for any testing if it's for fertility and it's going to cost around $5000!! And then to not even know if we will find anything is just sickening. So I'm going to try to either get my OB to order tests and code them differently or go see a general practitioner and have them order the tests. I think I'm a really good candidate for hypothyroidism and low progesterone... we will see what happens but I'm super stressed and no matter who orders my tests I need my hcg down to 0 for a few weeks beforehand. UGH!!!
