TTC Buddies

Hey everyone! I am new to this site, and would like to be in a group with women who I can talk to and who can share their stories...

I am 27 years old and my DH is 30. We have been ttc for 6 months now. I have been off BC for 9 months now (3 months before we started trying I took out my NuvaRing as the OB suggested) and we have not had any luck. I have just joined this site because I find that it really helps to hear others stories.

I would really like to make buddies on here and hope that there are others who want to join a thread and become buddies! (Hope I don't sound too lame)

I am currently CD10 and just started taking Mucinex 600mg yesterday (why not, right?)... so hoping we get a better outcome !! I use the Clearblue digital OPK and have for the past 3 months and have gotten a positive ovulation each time. My cycles have been 28-29 days, but my LP is being cut short by spotting, which the OB was not concerned about

I hope that others join this thread and share their story!

@edwina- That is awesome that you are cycle day 9, I am cycle day 11. I think I am going to try soft cups this cycle too. I take a prenatal multivitamin that has folic acid in it. I will start testing for my ovulation on Saturday, as the past three months, I have gotten a positive on the Monday or Tuesday of that cycles. I am really regular with my cycles all being 28-29 days long.

What BC were you on before you started trying? I have been off for 9 months now and I am wondering if it has something to do with being on BC since I was 16? Your previous months of ttc you didnt use an OPK?

Thanks so much for responding and adding me! This site is really helping me because it is nice to hear stories from other women who are at the same stage of their lives!!

Look forward to being cycle buddies this month and good luck!!!! This will be our month!!!!

Thatâ??s good that you take prenatal vits. My cycles are around 28-32cd so we are close on the O day. Lol. The bc I was on was joslean, which was 3 months then a period. Bc can cause some infertility issues. Most people donâ??t believe that but if you have been on bc for years then there a chance. I may have a infertility issue with implanton I had at 16-18. I had it removed when I found out and went to bc from 18-20. I used opks on the first two months of ttc and gave up; the price was to much for me then. I went to other things like apps, cervix, temp, and cm; till this month when I switched to monitor, opk and soft cups. I believe that all women should try a year before seeing a specialist. Theres a lot of different methods and the common mistake is getting the wrong O day. Like me. But if someone has to see a specialist it should be the man first since it is faster and cheaper to get done vs the women with a lot of visits and more $ to do that.
