The Wannabe Mamas!

I am starting this thread for a group of ladies that already frequently communicate through journals and PMs. Since we already stalk one another's journals and countdown pages... I thought it might be nice for us to have a discussion forum, where we can frequently communicate our day to day ups and downs. Please re-introduce yourself and give us a summary of your journey to date!

My story:
DH and I have been TTC #1 since June 2012. In October, we found out that DH has a varicocele causing poor morphology (1-2%). This makes it difficult for us to conceive on our own. We are on some looong wait lists to see specialists. We need to see a urologist about possible surgery and a fertility specialist about possible IUI or IVF. Right now we are loking at 8-10 month wait times, but we might be able to get DH into a urologist much sooner if we can get into a clinic in the next province over. We are currently working toward making that happen! The surgery has about 50/50 odds of working. But we are hoping it works for us!

I am glad you are going in for tests, especially for pains in the chest, that would scare me too!! I have a friend who got MS during her pregnancy and its been hard on her. I hope there is a way that the docs can you healthy and pain free soon!!

As far as feeling different from my miscarriages, my bbs hurt more, less cramping (so when I do have a little bit I freak out and think its bad)....no word about progesterone suppositories so I think I am on my own this weekend. I have been thinking about increases my progesterone cream just a tid bit just in case my levels want to start acting up. I have been taking my prenatal and a b6 too. is that okay do you think? I will probably take another test tomorrow morning as I am curious.

omg Britt....dont feel bad at all for freaking.....goodness you had every right! Haha! But thank you. I updated and now I can move past it and be there for you and us ladies! It sucks getting older! My pregnancy with our son at 23 was a cake walk compared the this TTC stuff in my 30s! Everything happens for a reason though....and maybe my recent loss will bring to light my health, the strength in my marriage and the consideration of our finances over time. However bad I hate to admit my husband might be right about the $$$! Dont tell him I said that! :)

Great news about your symptoms. The prenatal and B6 sounds great. Make sure you are eating healthy....take plenty of folic acid too. Limit caffeine and rest when you need to! Make some banana strawberry smoothies! Yummm!

Lots of love and hugs to all of us here!

Did you post it?!!!! Eeek is right!!!! I hope you get your bfp!

Update: Midwife called me last night, she said that tripling my numbers is a good sign. I am to cancel my appointment on the 29th and make an ultrasound appointment instead on the 7th. I asked about my progesterone cream, she said she talked to the doctors there at the clinic and they don't think it would be doing anything for me at all. SO I asked about prometrium and she said they(the other doctors) didn't think i needed it!!!!!! I was like WHAT????? I was honest with her and said, "i have lost so many I will do anything to not lose this one, I know promestrium can't hurt so can I have it?" and she was like "Absolutely!!!!".....so I got all confused cuz its like why wouldn't you put me on it as a precaution? Anyways, I am going in this morning for the prescription, HOORAY!!!!!

Congrats According! Let us know if you post the hpt in the gallery!

Britt- Yay for midwives! Absolutely adored mine when I was pregnant and delivering my son. Her picture is in our son's baby book with us after I delivered! Midwives have such a special touch and are more sensitive to our needs than a doctor. Doctors are very black and white....midwives see the gray! I'm so glad yours is seeing that the Prometrium will only help and not hurt! Good for you too for being an advocate for yourself....we have to be these days!

Michelle, Kalie, Lisa? How are you ladies? Where is everyone in their cycles?

BTW....it's my week anniversary of wearing only underwear!! LOL It's been awesome!!

Took another test and posted it to the gallery let me know what you ladies think?

Britt: Yay for progesterone, I'm debating on calling my dr today and seeing if he'd prescribe it today or if I should wait til monday, hoping it's not to much of an ordeal since I didn't have a cycle before getting prgnant again

Yay for 1 week in panties!! FX your celebrating 10 months in regular panties ASAP :)

Hi ladies! Melissa, hope you get some answers next week at the doctor! I couldn't imagine how scary that is! Keep us posted! And congrats, according!! Hope this is your sticky one!!

Afm, I'm out until probably July. We're not trying anymore right now and I need some time to recharge myself. We started trying last April and I've probably gained 15lbs from trying, being pregnant and grieving. I need to shave that weight off. I am also exhausted from taking the progesterone. I can't do it anymore. It's hard every month to experience the side effects of the progesterone and not the benefits. My face has never looked more like a 13 year old and I'm just exhausted from the up and down emotions. Getting excited and then just being defeated. So... It's time for a break and time to take care of myself. I'm also starting therapy next week. I feel angrier every day at what happened and I just can't be this way anymore. I thought I was getting better, but at this point I feel like everyone in my personal life is getting accidentally pregnant and having miraculous babies. My gal at work is going to have her baby any second now, then another girl is due in may and I just found out my boss' wife is due in August. And i get to watch these women grow every day when it should be my turn. The world is passing me by and it's not been easy. Anyway, long story short... I need to take care of myself. I'm genuinely unhappy and need to take care of that. I wish I could've moved on quicker... I don't know if getting pregnant right away would've helped, but I sure know that not getting pregnant hasn't helped. It makes me feel more cheated and more inadequate.

I might disconnect from here for a lil while... I don't even plan to chart my cycles. I can't care about that right now. But I think about you gals all the time and thank you for your support. And I wish the best for each of you... Healthy, happy pregnancies!!

Good luck, ladies! , Lisa Me, 31... DH, 32 May 2012 - early MC June 2012, Pregnant... missed MC at 10 weeks (6w1d) D&C August 21 TTC again 2 cycles later, November 2012... waiting for my next BFP! User Image

Oh Lisa, I'm so sad for you. I can completely understand what you feel and don't blame you either. Therapy sounds fantastic. I'd recommend Lexapro to you too...but it's not good to be on if you're planning to TTC later this year. I felt amazing on Lexapro....really really good. It has the least initial side effects, but the withdrawal is awful. I withdrew last year....slowly....and I still ended up with a bout of dizziness and "out of it" moments for about 4-5 days after I was done taking the 5mg pills. I was on it for some anxiety in crowded places...and some overall anger and unhappiness. All is good now, but if I was completely finished with TTC, forever, I'd go back on it in a heartbeat. Life is better stress-free!

Promise to check in from time to time....and don't stop getting our forum updates in your email! I'm not TTC for a while either, but don't know what I'd do without you ladies! However, I understand we are all different and have different ways of coping. I will miss you!!
