Pregnancy of unknown location (PUL)

Hi ladies,

Sorry for my outburst on Monday. I was terrified and quite clearly had been brainwashed so I didn’t believe in myself!

So long as everything is ok with baby, I will be keeping him/her.

I have a scan on Friday, as they could only measure me at 4weeks and 6days Monday, when I should have been over 5weeks based on period dates.
There was sign of gestational sac but no yolk sac. This could either be because it’s too early to see, blighted ovum or ectopic pregnancy.

I was told that if I have any bleeding, severe cramps, back pain or dizziness to go straight to A&E.

Today, I’ve been having quite bad cramps, but they feel like menstrual cramps and they’re mild. I know cramps are normal in the beginning, but I also feel incredibly sick. (Although this could be worry).

I’m terrified that they’re not going to see a fetal pole or yolk sac on Friday and I’m praying that baby is where he/she should be.

Once I know where baby is, how baby is, then I am going to consult with Dad and explain I’m keeping the baby.

Hope you ladies have a great day.
X

Hey, just seen this now.
I was told I had PUL and I was scanned at approx 4 weeks but there was nothing visible. Scanned as emergency due to past history of mc and I have endometriosis. Also told it could be ectopic.
Given same advice as you. Had cramps etc and was rescanned at 6wks 3days.
Luckily all turned out ok for me and I’m currently 25+2 with my rainbow baby.

Good sign for you they seen a gestational sac though. Please let me know all is ok with you.

Hi lovely,
Thanks for your response. Everything was all okay, visible yolk sac and everything. I am now currently 9 weeks and 5 days :)
