Miscarriage?

Been a while since I've been on here, trying to lessen the stress by not symptom spotting and obsessing. This cycle was very different. Boobs hurt like they did when I was pregnant with my daughter. I did NOT get a positive hot, but started having sharp pains in my belly/stomach. Cramps were different..kind of nauseating and bad back pain. I got, what I believe was my period, but passed a golf ball sized tissue. I'm not sure if this is period ( I've never experienced this before) or was it a miscarriage. ? If anyone can shed some light on this, please do. Not sure what to think. Tia
