TTC Baby #2 - Possibly, maybe, yes...
I'm back!
Baby #1 is the light of my life. He fills my days with love, happiness and purpose. He'll be 8 months in a couple weeks and he's been EBF for 7 months. We had trouble latching in the first month so pumping was the only option until he finally latched.
Even though I had a very enjoyable pregnancy without complications; I didn't think I would be considering baby #2 so soon. I will admit that the contractions and labor pains before the epidural (that invention is heaven sent!) was extremely painful for me. With a 2nd degree tear in 2 places, my postpartum recovery was difficult as well. And get this, the baby was only 5 lbs 13 oz! He wasn't premature, just small and VERY healthy. 9.9 Apgar Score. But I'm petite too, so that might have been why it was rough. With all that in mind, I find myself wishing I could relive the journey again despite the pain.
Let's talk sex!
As expected, DH and I haven't had much "fun" since giving birth due to pain and lack of desire on my part. Poor DH has been neglected on many occasions but he's extremely supportive and understanding. We've been using condoms for the "few times". However, recently... after having a few sips of moscato we went with the flow and "forgot" contraception.
Although I'm hoping silently in the back of my mind, I highly doubt anything will happen after one time. It took us 6 times with the first and that was a blessing.
The first TTC journey was all about ovulation tests, CM checks, and lots of stress. I think this time, we'll continue to go with the flow and if it happens, it happens.
If we do conceive, we are hoping for a girl.
