Oh my..
So this is really my first attempt at having a place to vent/journal this exhausting thing called ttc. Well here goes...
DH and I have been trying to get pg for 3 years now, and have been happily married for 5 years. After the first year with no bfp's we went to our obgyn and started the usual round of tests. Come to find out that I am hypothyroid, which it turns out can cause infertility. After various changes in hormone dosage, we are finally good to go, but still have no success for another 6 months. Then DH gets checked out and turns out he has a varicoceole, which has caused low counts and motility. Luckily a varicocoele is easily fixed with surgery, but unfortunately the counts don't go up for about 3 months after the procedure. We had the procedure in September of 2013 and luckily DH counts are up 200%!! Yay! Then another year goes by with no good news... and I start to get extremely depressed. We try a couple months of clomid, but that just makes me crazy and has no impact on my ovulation. Then we do a few cervical mucus tests, which unfortunately come back with abysmal results. Not only is there too little of it but it is also too thick. A couple of months ago FS puts me on estrogen, which in turn not only completely changes my cycle (I had AF like 3 days after taking the dosage- 25 days early) but it also unfortunately does not improve CM quality. Finally that leads me to today, when we had an HSG test. I am trying really hard to stay positive about all of this, and I am putting all of my eggs in this 'HSG improves your fertility' basket, but I gotta say- I'm really feeling hopeless right now.

Hello and welcome! This is a great site where you should find lots of support. :)
So sorry that this has been such a tough journey for you. But glad you aren't losing hope! When do you get back results from your hsg test? Or what exactly did that do? I've heard of it but don't know much about it.

Thank you ladies!! I will definitely try the pre-seed! Well I find out the results today, and based on what the radiologist said it looked promising.
tcinks: Basically it is an x-ray of your uterus and fallopian tubes, and they check to make sure your tubes are open, that there are no blockages, and it also is a way to look for endometriosis and fibroids. It was quite painful but I'm glad I did it because they say it increases fertility after because it's like you are flushing out the pathway.
