Question

Can opening the casing on s pregnancy test cause a false positive to come up?

I took a clear blue test this morning 7dpo and after a few minutes it appeared negative. I've seen other ladies had taken apart their tests and i thought I'd do it to see how it all works.
I threw it in the bin after id put it back together.
I had another look a few minutes later and there was a thin blue positive line. Definitely not an evap.
So my question is, could me taking the casing apart have somehow caused the positive line to come up? Or did i just not wait long enough?!
I'll try again tomorrow morning :-)

I would wait till tomorrow or later to test again. 7DPO is fairly early for a positive and blue tests are terrible for false positives. Maybe try a pink dye test or FRER if you are testing early again. Always read the test in the time frame and NEVER take them apart as it invalidates the test. Good luck! xx
