Symptoms of pregnancy before a pregnancy test detects the pregnancy?

So I wasn't going to test post IUI until Tuesday which would make me 17days post IUI. Last night about midnight I started feeling nauseated and vomitted a couple times but I didn't feel sick. So this morning I took a pregnancy test and it was quickly negative. I woke up feeling fine but quickly became very nauseated but no vomiting. Today I am 14 days post IUI is it possible I could be having pregnancy symptoms but it's too early to detect on a pregnancy test? Has anyone experienced this?
