When would you count as ovulation day?

I had a sharp pain lasting about 5 minutes on my left ovary cycle day 14 I didn't do an opk but did one the following day cycle day 15 and was positive when would I could DPO after the ovulation pain or the cycle day 15-17 like FF ?

O pain can happen before and after O,I believe FF is right.Do you temp as well or you only use opks?

I started to temp and now my little one has lost my thermometer so couldn't carry on just had a horrible stabbing pain left ovary on day 14 and didn't opk but did the 15 so FF said I would ovulate 15-17 x

Usually you ovulate 12-36h after the positive opk so i say your O day would be around cd6-17.
