Confused!! Symptoms but negative hpts!!??
So I always have a regular 28 day cycle and have never had a mid-cycle bleed.i am 42.
Last.month AFL came 8th October.
24th to 26th I had light bleeding.
Doctor sent me for a scan. Sonographer did abdominal and internal and this was on day 21 of my cycle. No sign of pregnancy (but would this be too early???)
AFL due 5th November. Now 9 days late and no sign of AF. FRER and Clearblue hpts and GP urine test all negative.
Did clearblue today at 9 days late and negative.
I am bloated and very nauseous.
I have other children and tested positive on hpts with them!
I "feel" pregnant.
Anyone else had anything similar and been pregnant??
Would love some thoughts and opinions ????

Could you have possibly ovulated later than usual? You'd be surprised at how easy stress, traveling and MANY other thing so can cause us to ovulate later than usual or have wacky cycles! I've had it happen and I even chart. How did you confirm ovulation? Do you temp, check cervix, Cervical fluid, etc? It sounds like to me that you ovulated late this cycle. The proliferative phase is from the first day of our full on period until ovulation and the luteal phase is from ovulation until Aunt Flo arrives. What many women do not know (especially women that do not chart) is that our proliferative phase can be different from cycle to cycle but our luteal phase is almost exact and extremely regular every cycle. So technically women's periods are not "late" when their period starts at a later date than usual or their cycle is longer than usual. They actually ovulated later than usual but still only had say a 15 day luteal phase....

.... So say I have a 28 day cycle and I usually ovulate on cd 14 and I always start my period 14 days after I ovulate which gives me a 14 day luteal phase. This cycle I had a 38 day cycle for some reason (could have been stress or many other factors) so in my eyes it looked like my period was 10 days late because I should have started on cd 28 but instead I started on cd 38. But what really happened is I ovulated 10 days late. Instead of ovulating on cd 14 I didn't ovulate until cd 24 and therefor still had a 14 day luteal phase. If you begin charting, within a couple months you'll understand your particular cycle and you'll always know what cd you ovulate on and youll learn how long your luteal phase is so therefor you will always know when exactly to expect your period or a positive pregnancy test. Hope this helps!! ????
