Question

Thoughts on finding a new job while trying to conceive

I've been unsatisfied with my job for a few years now and have been going back and forth on the idea of getting a new job. I'm scared that the stresses of my job is preventing me from getting pregnant. Is it taboo to start a new job and get pregnant right away?

There are a couple things to consider. The first is that if you have been somewhere for less than a year then they do not have to give you any paid family leave. That may be stressful not being able to have time home with your baby. You may be able to negotiate some unpaid leave. I don't think that most family friendly places mind if a woman gets pregnant, however, it can depend on the environment and if they feel that you were honest abut your intentions. At the end of the day you have to weigh your options and do what is best for you despite how work feels about it. Good luck with your career and in getting your BFP!!
