Pregnant? Or...funky period?

So I took pregnancy tests up until I was supposed to get my period. They were internet dip strips which I've had problems with. Saying positive when it shouldn't type of thing. I don't trust them. I got what I thought was my period on it's scheduled date. Three days ago but it was just very little spotting. And now (TMI) the blood is brown. This has never happened before. I used to get a "warning shot" for my period. I would spot one day then stop for a few the start my period. It's been okay lately until this month. It's brown. What do you think???
