Question

Evap vs Positive

I took two pregnancy tests this morning (one with FMU and one an hour or so later) and both had faint pink lines within the allotted time frame. Since the time frame, the lines have gotten darker...if the first line showed up faintly in the time frame, does that mean it's evap or an actual positive??

If it showed it during the actual time frame it's likely a positive.

one of the girls on the july forum posted this and I've found it very helpful when trying to determine a BFP and an Evap

If an "evap line" shows up in the time limit then it probably isn't an evaporation line -- it probably is a positive result! You may feel the urge to disregard a very faint positive, especially if you've experienced evaps before, but generally tests don't turn positive within the time limit unless you are pregnant. Sometimes it can be beneficial to wait until after your period is due to take a test because as your pregnancy progresses your hCG will rise and may turn a test darker.
