Worried & don't know what to think :/

It's been six weeks since the first day of my last period (31/07)
Took a cheapie test about 30mins ago (not FMU) which was negative :(
I'm not too sure what to now, should I go to the drs? Test again tomorrow with FMU? Why have I not got my period? I haven't been stressed, just been my same old self.
If anyone could give me some advice or if you've had the same experience. Would really appreciate it!
