Opk can pick up hcg levels. Very Same thing happened to me. Strong positive opk a week late and vvfaint hpt... I'm now 12 weeks! ! So yes opk can definitely pick up a pregnancy. Keep me posted please x

And OPK can be sometimes positive just before period ...

Maybe you ovulated later for some reasons... it happens.
