Male Chromosome Y Deletion

Myself and my hubby were trying for a long time before it hit us that we needed to go to the doctors.. I dragged him kicking and screaming, he really did not want to go. As I'm usually the one that is unwell or clumsy out of both of us, we were convinced it was me that was the problem. We both had blood tests, and the doctor told us we had no reason to worry and we should carry on trying. 3 Months later, still nothing so I dragged hubby back were the next doctor sent him for a Sperm Analysis.
Then, our worst fears came to light where the lab told my husband he would never be able to conceive children of his own. Understandably this was and still is heartbreaking, and it's taken us almost 2 years to face up to the fact and try to deal with it. Today, we had our first meeting with a potential sperm donor where we used AI to place the donor sperm inside of me.. Was awkward to say the least! So now I'm back to obsessing over the two week wait.. looking and overthinking everything that my body is doing!
Has anyone else had experience with male infertility?
It's such a negative point to discuss and many can feel alone.. I'd love to chat and get to know some of you :)
