Mirena and TTC after , how long did it take ?

So I was on the mirena for 6 years after my first born, so hubby and I have started an adventure to bring in baby number 2, although it's been one heck of a month. Sept 1. Is when I had mirena removed and honestly ; what a relief , the next day on sept 2 , I had got bleeding that lasted for about 4 days then it went away , shortly after that , on sept 7 , I got light spots , none to appear on any underwear and whatnot. Since then I haven't seen a full aunt flow appearance . So hubby and I BD quite a bit this month to hopefully shoot for something. I did ovulate between 15-16. And ever since then I've been having crazy symptoms of pregnancy. Af is not due for another few days I would guess . I definitely guess right of this moment , I do have menstrual signs but all the extra stuff is what throws me off . Yesterday getting a positive then a negative test this morning is a bit disappointing . ???? . Ladies , if you were in the mirena how long did it take you to get back on a normal cycle or if you had a successful pregnancy right away , please share your story ! Any advice would help!

@Nikalg1 I had my mirena migrate to my abdomen after 1 year and got pregnant with it in my abdomen, ended up being a chemical, not because of mirena, but even in your body if not positioned correctly you are 100% fertile and able to conceive.

Hey! I'm not much help to you I'm afraid , but just said I'd let you know you're not alone. I had my Mirena removed on 25/08 and had 2 days of bleeding from 27/08-29/08 but nothing since. I did use OPK's and am expecting AF on Friday. We also BD'd this cycle to try against the odds, but I feel like AF on the way, I will check back in and update you though.

From what I've read - And I've read a lot!! It totally depends on the woman. Some people conceive straight away and for others it takes a bit of time. This cycle threw me off completely because I was still bleeding regularly with the mirena (only had it for 6 months) and then once it was taken out it changed my cycle completely. Not to worry - still ovulated and hopefully from Friday will be back on track to TTC.

Hope you get your

I had my Mirena out may 23rd 2014, cycle was a bit off in June from the removal, July was back to normal but we didn't try... and August we conceived first try. I say you are fertile immediately upon removal, or the next cycle.

Good luck!

Hi there

I had a mirena for 5 years and had it removed mid November 2013 and got my first cycle in 5 years on the 10th December 2013. We started actively trying to conceive from the December and then I had another cycle on the 8th January 2014 and then got pregnant that month.
I was really surprised how quickly it happened as I was really close to my 40th birthday.
Good luck
