Clearblue Ovulation Test- High for 2 wks and now spotting?

My cycles typically range between 30-35 days... today is CD28 and I have had a 'High' (flashing smiley) result on the Clearblue advanced digital ovulation test for almost two weeks (first high was on Aug 9th).

Today I started spotting red, then pink, then brown. Definitely feel like AF is on her way, but even with all that said, still got another 'High' output this morning.

Anyone have a similar experience? Wondering if the High output is just a result of a buildup of hormones with the impending witch about to hit.
