There is really no point having one before 6 weeks. At 6 weeks all we could see was a gestational sac and fetal pole. I would suggest 7 weeks or later. Do you have something in particular you are worried about?

I would wait till 7 weeks too, I have had several at 6 weeks and they have always been inconclusive, (I've lost them all) its just a recipe for heartache. I even had one where the baby had a heartbeat but it was too slow and I ended up loosing it. It was worse to see a hb and know it wasn't right than not seeing it at all.
