Super long period?

Hi I started my period November 20. My cycle is usually every 27 to 28 days. My cycle length is usually 5 to 6 days. This month I continue to bleed past the six days But not heavy, not even really needing a pad. In total I bled for 17 days. Went to the doctor had blood work. HCG was <1. also had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday, get the results in a few days. Has this happened to anybody before and where they did in fact pregnant? Please help!!!
