Twins?

Going by ur BFP 10 days ago at 8dpo, a BhCG of 2k is normal.

Perhaps consult your doctor, all research i have done comes back with similar numbers;

Your high levels suggest a multiple pregnancy.

There are multiple charts online with hCG levels per week. It is a very wide range, nothing is set in stone. 18dpo is just shy of 5wks, charts online state 5wks can go up to 7k+.

Unfortunately, hCG isn't a good indicator for a multiple pregnancy, due to the large variance in levels. With my 3rd, I was over 9k at 5w2d (23dpo). My 2nd barely hit 6k at 6w2d (30dpo). Both born healthy. Don't worry about the numbers themselves, enjoy the fact that they doubled, and as of now, everything is heading in the right direction...that is the whole goal, afterall! An ultrasound in a few wks, will answer any question of multiples that u may have.
